The Move to New York- Shadow Dance

It's time for a Shadow Dance!

description

Moving the Shadow Riders stories to New York is exciting. Will I miss the Chicago Ferraros? Well, there really isn’t a lot to miss when they show up in New York. They’re there to help, especially Stefano who is close to his cousin Geno. It will be a great opportunity to show the bigger family dynamics as we see the Chicago Ferraro family alongside the New York Ferraros.

description

Of course, having two alpha males who are used to being the leader doesn’t always make for a smooth experience. What happens when they don’t agree? Especially with emotions high because someone is murdering shadow riders.

I am glad to finally be able to talk about Geno Ferraro’s past. You see how he grew up and why he is the way he is. And how he is with his brothers. Geno, like any of us, is both good and bad. What makes him one way or the other is complex and sometimes surprising. Like Stefano, loyalty is important to Geno. The fact that he believes other shadow riders are killing other shadow riders has a certain sharp edge of betrayal that Geno will be challenged with following the rules or giving into his need for his own brand of justice.

description

Amaranthe is such a different heroine. Her character is both soft and ruthless. It’s like she lives two different lives, but upon closer inspection they are actually very similar. As a worldclass ballet dancer she must train constantly, be strong and have incredible discipline. That’s how she became a famous dancer. And those traits are why she is an extraordinary shadow rider. One side is creative, beautiful and captivating. The other side is fearless, strong and ruthless.

description

As a couple Geno and Amaranthe have a rocky start. But once they join forces the only outcome they will accept is complete and total justice. Working together they are almost scary. It’s the emotions, the passion and newness of their relationship that make this dance challenging.

If you could choose between Chicago and New York, which city would you like to visit? I've been to both and love each city for different reasons. Let me know which you'd choose!

Adaiah I haven't traveled to Chicago..yet. But, I love New York. I visited New York for the 2nd time in 2017 for 12 days and still didn't see everything I wanted to see. I enjoyed the pace of N.Y. visited Soho, Chinatown,Little Italy and the Met. I loved the food at Carmine's in Manhatten and could see the Ferraro's dining there. The restaurant has such an old world charm to it.

I loved Geno and Stefano's relationship. They're true friends as well as family. The villians! The legacy! WOW! Excellent read!

Carol L Cridge I've been to New York, Brooklyn, parts of Jersey and got that whole Soprano's vibe, so I guess Chicago since it would be a new experience. I don't really like big cities and would stay on the outskirts. In the burbs or the surrounding rural areas, you can get just as good of an experience. Minus all the traffic. LOL

Becca I’ve been to both. Chicago multiple times as a kid and NYC as an adult. I’d love to go back to Chicago but there’s also still places I want to see in NYC. I’m near Philadelphia.

Liz I live in Chicago so it’s my favorite.

message 8: by Jayne (new)

Jayne Targgart Absolutely terrific. Christine Feehan does not disappoint. Received this and finished it in two days. Wow! Great story line and wonderful set up for Dario to have his story soon I hope! The details and descriptions of the everyday things makes it come alive! Thank you again for another story.
I have read all The Sea Haven, Drake Sisters, Ghost Walkers, Shadow Riders and Torpedo Ink books and I love them all.

message 9: by Melanie (new)

Melanie I have a question:

What if there was a shadow rider that was homosexual would their shadow reach out to their match and if it did would he or she have to marry elsewhere to produce children?
Would the council allow them to stay together?

message 10: by Helia (new)

Helia Nanashi i really like Geno, but i wish they finished it off with the wedding (spoiler i guess) but does that mean something bad will happen? and another spoiler, I was thinking one of the brothers would offer to walk her down the isl not who actually offered her, so that was a fun ending, and it was so cute, i just love Lucca and want him for my own ;>
