Review of Coaching for Performance

Coaching for Performance Fifth Edition: The Principles and Practice of Coaching and Leadership UPDATED 25TH ANNIVERSARY EDITION Coaching for Performance Fifth Edition: The Principles and Practice of Coaching and Leadership UPDATED 25TH ANNIVERSARY EDITION by Sir John Whitmore

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

As a coaching instructor guiding students who are considering stepping into the dynamic world of coaching, "Coaching for Performance" stands out as an invaluable resource. The book elegantly merges theory with practice, delving deep into the core principles of coaching while using relatable examples from both the business and sporting worlds.

The GROW model (Goals, Reality, Options, Will) serves as a bedrock conversational framework in my teachings, and this book presents it with clarity and nuance. What I appreciate the most is how the author not only provides a comprehensive understanding of what coaching truly is but also elaborates on its potential applications, its scope, and the right circumstances and people to wield it.

I wholeheartedly recommend "Coaching for Performance" to both seasoned coaches and those just beginning their journey. It's a masterclass in the art and science of coaching.
