Philippine Airlines Lying Cheating Robbing Customers - Not The Heart of Filipinos
On July 12, 2023, I spoke to a Philippine Airlines representative and made a reservation for a Filipino friend. The Philippine Airlines rep told me I had up to 3 days to pay for the airline ticket using the code QMOM5L.
However, when I went to the Cebu airport office of Philippine Airlines within two days to buy the air ticket as promised, the price was not honored by Philippine Airlines and instead was significantly increased.
Then the Filipino friend who reported to the Clark airport in Pampanga two hours early to fly with Philippine Airlines the day for which he was scheduled to travel, Philippine Airlines did not designate a specific departure gate making it difficult to board the plane in a timely fashion (since the whereabouts of the plane could not be discerned and ascertained in a sufficient amount of time before departure).
When the Filipino friend missed the plane because of Philippine Airlines negligence on July 17, 2023, the heartless airline refused to honor the flight purchased and put the Filipino on the next flight freely. Instead, heartless Philippine Airlines said we would have to buy a new airline ticket and forfeit the cost of the previously bought ticket. Once again, this is evidence of how heartless and monetarily motivated Philippine Airlines is because they lie, cheat and steal from its customers.
Philippine Airlines therefore owes me 5,100 pesos for the flight from Clark to Cebu AND the travel expenses incurred thereafter due to its negligence whereby my Filipino friend missed their flight. Thereafter, I had to buy another flight, which I did via Cebu Pacific Airlines (rather than be ripped off a third time by ungodly and unethical Philippine Airlines).
1. Philippine Airlines misinform travelers as to how long they have to purchase a plane ticket when they forward web links to book air tickets (as its reps are not allowed to take credit cards over the phone).
2. Philippine Airlines increase the cost of plane tickets not honoring the prices told passengers by Philippine Airlines reps over the phone and via its chat app online during the time of booking.
3. Philippine Airlines is heartless and disregards Filipino passengers needs when they fail to inform them of the departure gate in an adequate amount of time to facilitate a timely departure, but instead keep gate numbers a mystery and often change gates at the last minute to ensure some passengers miss their flight so Philippine Airlines can sell more airline tickets, charge more penalties when travelers rebook tickets for another date and time, and thereby can charge travelers and increased airfare price as they book last minute flights due to Philippine Airlines negligence.
4. Philippine Airlines overbooks its flights, selling more airline tickets than there are seats available on its planes, so it can double dip, oversell and increase profitability. Then Philippine Airlines keep gates a mystery until departure time to ensure more passengers miss their flights, so they can increase airline profitability, charge penalties to customers who miss their flights and reschedule (though due to Philippine Airlines negligence and changing gates at the last minute to confuse passengers traveling with the airline).

As someone who has traveled to 90 nations and more than 20 times to the Philippines, I know as a world traveler Filipinos and airline passengers deserve better and more from Philippine Airlines. Let us stand up to the fraud, injustice and malpractice daily occurring at Philippine Airlines and make them pay for years of theft and fraud committed against Filipinos.
