State of the TAM - 18th April
I have no floor in my kitchen.
My tiler has Covid. So when will I have a floor? Maybe never. Hopefully next week?
It is unexpectedly annoying to have just the exposed concrete in the kitchen. There are rugs down to try and stop the dust from rising, the dogs keep digging at the holes in the concrete, and my chair is wobbly when I try and wheel it about.
Life is hard. That’s what I’m getting at.
Writing is going well though! Stuff coming up in the next few months :D Stay tuned!
Oh, and notes…
Notes is a new space on Substack for us to share links, short posts, quotes, photos, and more. I plan to use it for things that don’t fit in the newsletter, like work-in-progress or quick questions. Or rambling like a lunatic. I should have probably put a better first note up :D but it’s honest example of what you’re going to get on there!
Not sure if it will replace twitter/facebook. But I’m already here and it’s already here, so…
How to joinHead to substack.com/notes or find the “Notes” tab in the Substack app. As a subscriber to TA Moore Writes, you’ll automatically see my notes. Feel free to like, reply, or share them around!

You can also note yourself if you wanna.
Pupdate of the Week

I would love to be a person who had conversation starter watches. However, I never remember to put on the watch I actually have because it makes my wrist sweaty. Seriously though, look at these. I would definitely start a conversation about them (if I was wearing them, probably by accidentally punching someone as I waved my arm around to try and get attention).

So fluffy! Look how fluffy they are!
I don’t really know what is going on here, but it’s fascinating to watch.

With the planet on the brink of erupting and his memories gone, can Commander Damon Wild find his way back home?
Commander Damon Wild is not having a good day. Being shot down on a remote planet by enemies and then losing his memories is enough to make a good man desperate. But when his situation becomes worse—a planetary eruption—Damon knows he has to do something. A small scientific outpost at the centre of a caldera offers something he’d only dreamt about, hope.
Captain Zaveid L’eau offers Damon a place to recover and space to find himself once more. The attractive captain distracts him from his troubles and it’s enough. Damon can see the light at the end of the tunnel and Zaveid is the one lighting the way.
But with a volcano on the brink of exploding, Damon doesn’t have time for peace.
The pirates are breathing down their necks and a massive eruption destroying everything, Damon has to learn to trust Zaveid with his heart and that no matter the circumstances, love will give them the strength to defeat all enemies, including their own self-doubt.
Calamity is the 4th book of the StarStation series, featuring amnesiac heroes, long-suffering captains and a race against time. Because of the unique circumstances of this book, one does not need to read the previous books but it’s better anyway to get the whole picture.
