What I Wouldn't Change, Even If I Could

I met my wife in a college psychology class nearly 40 years ago. We weren’t friends, but something about her made me feel like I had known her all my life. Even then, I could sense she was the one for me.

Fast forward to today, and I’m still as sure of it now as I was then. We’ve been through thick and thin, and every part of my life is better because she’s in it.

If I knew then what I know now, I would still be grateful for the years that passed and the memories we built together. Nothing can replace those moments of joy, sorrow, laughter, and love we have shared.

If I knew then what I know now, I would still thank the stars for her presence in my life. She is my rock—my sounding board and confidante. I treasure our bond more than anything else in this world.

And if there’s one thing I wouldn’t change, it’s the decision I made all those years ago to marry the girl from Del City, Oklahoma. She is my forever love—the best thing that ever happened to me.

So if I knew then what I know now, I wouldn’t do anything differently. After all, our love story has been and will always be my most treasured gift.
