Life's Journey: Embracing the Goodness
Life weaves a complex tapestry of moments, filled with both ups and downs. Dealing with major depression for most of my life has taught me that the highs and lows can be overwhelming. But my strong belief in the goodness of people has helped ease the burden of life's challenges.
It's not always easy; trust can be broken, and weaknesses exploited. These experiences have taught me the importance of forming genuine connections and being kind to others. One of the most important things I've learned is to believe in the power of real relationships and the potential for kindness in every person.
One memory stands out - seeking comfort and understanding from someone in authority, only to be betrayed and have my struggles used against me. This reminded me that not everyone in power is caring.
Even during tough times, I firmly believe in embracing others for personal growth and well-being. Empathy and genuine bonds play a significant role in healing during difficult moments.
Another lesson I learned was from a misunderstood joke, showing how innocent words can deeply affect others. I've become more mindful of what I say.
All these experiences have shaped my view of life - a delicate balance between vulnerability and strength. Embracing both struggles and the goodness in people is where hope and courage come together.
Despite life's unexpected challenges, my optimism remains strong. I truly believe in the inherent goodness in each of us. Genuine connections can make the world a more caring and understanding place. Every day gives us a chance to appreciate those who bring light and support into our lives.
Together, let's navigate life's twists and turns, embracing each other with all our complexities. Knowing we're not alone, we choose to believe in the goodness of humanity. Empathy, kindness, and authentic connections light the path to hope and healing in our shared journey. Here's to embracing life and the mysterious web of human connections!

Chronic Adult Onset Still's Disease
Chronic Adult Onset Still's Disease (AOSD) is a rare, chronic inflammatory disorder that can affect adults of any age. A range of debilitating symptoms such as high fevers, joint pain and swelling, rashes, fatigue, and salmon-colored spots on the skin characterizes it. While the cause of AOSD is unknown, it is thought to be an autoimmune disorder where the immune system attacks healthy tissues.
People with AOSD typically experience persistent high fevers, which often alternate between low and high temperatures throughout the day or week. They may also experience chills, headaches, night sweats, and malaise. Joint pain is another common symptom of AOSD; it often affects multiple joints throughout the body and can be accompanied by significant swelling and stiffness around the affected joints.
In addition to these physical symptoms, people with AOSD may experience psychological symptoms such as depression, anxiety, and difficulty sleeping. These psychological symptoms often link to the other physical manifestations of AOSD and difficulty coping with daily life due to their illness.
Because there is currently no cure for AOSD, treatment focuses on managing its symptoms. Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory medications (NSAIDs) are commonly used to reduce fever and ease joint pain and inflammation. In some cases, corticosteroids or immunosuppressive drugs may be prescribed to reduce inflammation if NSAIDs are insufficient to relieve symptoms. Physical therapy or assistive devices may also be recommended to help manage joint stiffness and improve mobility. Psychotherapy can be beneficial in assisting patients in coping with psychological issues associated with their condition.
Chronic Adult Onset, Still's Disease, can have a significant bearing on a person's quality of life both physically and psychologically if left untreated or unmanaged properly; however, with proper care and support from healthcare professionals, individuals living with this illness can still lead good lives despite having a chronic condition like AOSD.
I was diagnosed with AOSD in 2013.

The Kingdom of the Sick
Living with a chronic and debilitating illness can be like living in the kingdom of the sick. It can be a lonely place where you feel isolated and misunderstood. You may feel like the only one going through this, but you are not alone.
Living with a chronic illness is hard work. It requires dedication, patience, and resilience. You must learn how to manage your symptoms, cope with stress, and make lifestyle changes to help you live as well as possible.
Eating a healthy diet is essential for managing your chronic illness. Eating nutrient-dense foods can help reduce inflammation and improve overall health. Exercise is also necessary for managing symptoms and improving quality of life. Physical activity helps to reduce stress, boost energy levels, and improve moods.
Finding ways to manage stress when living with a chronic illness is essential. Stress can exacerbate symptoms and make them worse. Finding activities that help relax your mind and body, such as yoga or meditation, can be beneficial in reducing stress levels. Additionally, talking to friends or family members about your feelings can help relieve some of the emotional burden associated with having a chronic illness.
Finally, it's important to remember that having a chronic illness doesn't mean life has ended; it just means it looks different than before. You can still do many things to enjoy life despite having a disease - take up hobbies, travel if possible, connect with others online or in person who understands what you're going through - these are all ways to make life better despite having a chronic illness.
Living with a chronic illness isn't easy, but it doesn't define who you are or limit what you can do in life, either! With dedication and perseverance, there is still joy and happiness even in the kingdom of the sick!

5 Powerful Ways to Love Yourself and Find Inner Peace
We all know that loving ourselves is essential, but it can be hard to practice self-love. Getting caught up in our own negative thoughts and feelings is easy. But the truth is, we all deserve love and respect from ourselves. Learning how to love yourself is an essential part of finding inner peace.
Here are five powerful ways you can start loving yourself today:
Accept that you are not perfect. We all make mistakes and have flaws, but that doesn't mean we should be any less kind or forgiving towards ourselves. Instead of dwelling on our imperfections, focus on what you like about yourself and what makes you unique.
Spend some time alone. Taking time for yourself is so vital for self-care and self-love. Spending a few minutes each day doing something just for you - reading a book, taking a walk, or listening to your favorite music - will help boost your mood and give you some much-needed "me" time!
Do not make comparisons. Feeling inadequate and having low self-esteem can come from comparing yourself to others. Instead of comparing yourself to others, celebrate your wins, no matter how small!
Treat yourself like you treat loved ones. We often find showing kindness and compassion towards others easier than ourselves - but this needs to change! Start treating yourself with the same care and respect that you would offer someone else - be gentle with your words, forgive yourself, and take breaks when needed!
Say "no" when you need to say "no." Learning to say "no" is one of the most important skills in self-love! Don't feel guilty about saying no if it means taking care of yourself first - after all, if we don't take care of ourselves, then who will?
These five tips can help us learn to love ourselves more deeply to find true inner peace!

What Goes Around, Comes Around
The phrase "what goes around comes around" is often used to describe the idea of karma or that our actions have consequences. This phrase reminds us that we should be mindful of how we treat others and ourselves, as our actions will eventually come back to us somehow.
Karma is an ancient concept in many religions and cultures but is most commonly associated with Buddhism and Hinduism. In these traditions, karma is a spiritual law of cause and effect: what we do now will affect us later. It's believed that our thoughts, words, and deeds create energy that can either help or hinder us in the future.
The phrase "what goes around comes around" can be applied to many different aspects of life. For example, if someone treats other people badly, they may eventually experience similar treatment from someone else. Similarly, if someone puts effort into building relationships with others, they may find those relationships paid off in the future.
The phrase can also describe how our attitudes toward ourselves can affect our lives. If we are kind to ourselves and practice self-care, this positive energy will likely come back to us in some form or another. On the other hand, if we are hard on ourselves or neglect our needs for too long, this negative energy may manifest in various ways, such as physical illness or emotional distress.
Ultimately, the phrase "what goes around comes around" reminds us that all of our actions have good and bad consequences and that we should strive to make choices that will bring about positive results for ourselves and others. By being mindful of how we treat others and ourselves today, we can create a better future for everyone involved.

How Trauma Impacts the Brain
Emotional trauma can have a profound and lasting effect on the brain. It can cause long-term changes in how we think, feel, and behave. Trauma can affect our ability to concentrate, remember things, and make decisions. It can also lead to feelings of fear, guilt, shame, depression, and anxiety.
Traumatic events such as accidents, rape, or natural disasters can cause psychological trauma. This type of trauma comes with intense emotions such as fear or helplessness. These emotions can be so overwhelming that they interfere with our coping ability. The result is feeling overwhelmed and unable to process what has happened.
The impacts of emotional trauma on the brain are complex and far-reaching. It can change how we perceive the world and interact with others. For example, people who have experienced emotional trauma may become more easily triggered by certain stimuli or situations that remind them of their traumatic experience. They may also become more prone to negative thinking patterns such as rumination or catastrophizing, which can further exacerbate their distress.
Studies have shown that traumatic experiences link to changes in the structure and functioning of some brain regions, such as those involved in emotion regulation and memory formation. These changes may increase the risk of developing mental health issues such as depression or post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). In addition to these cognitive effects, emotional trauma can have physical consequences on the brain.
It is essential for those who have experienced emotional trauma to seek professional help if they are struggling with its effects on their mental health. A qualified therapist or counselor can provide support and guidance to help individuals process their experiences and learn healthy coping strategies for managing their symptoms over time.

Why and How to Forgive
Forgiveness is an integral part of life. It can help us to heal and move on from difficult situations, and it can also allow us to build better relationships with those around us. But how do we forgive someone who has hurt us?
The first step in forgiving is to understand why forgiveness is important. When we forgive, we are not condoning or excusing the behavior that hurt us; instead, we are releasing ourselves from the pain and anger that the situation caused. This "release" allows us to move forward without being weighed down by negative emotions.
Once you understand why forgiveness matters, it's time to assess who or what you need to forgive. You may need to forgive yourself for something you did wrong, or you may need to forgive someone else for their actions. In either case, reflect on the situation and identify any underlying feelings you must address before genuinely forgiving.
The next step is doing some inner work around the issue. This could involve discussing your feelings with a trusted friend or family member, journaling about your experience, or seeking professional help. It's important to take this time for self-reflection to fully process your emotions and devise a plan for how you want to move forward.
Once you've done this inner work, it's time to start the process of forgiveness itself. This could involve praying for the person who hurt you, asking God for help in forgiving them, or simply coming up with four thoughts to help you let go of any resentment towards them. You may also find it helpful to list all the people who have hurt you and then slowly work through each until they are all forgiven.
Finally, remember that forgiveness isn't always easy - but it's worth it in the end! Taking these steps will help ensure that you don't stay stuck in resentment and anger but instead find peace and healing as soon as possible after being hurt by someone else's actions.

The Blessing of Daughters
As a parent, few things are more rewarding than watching your children grow and develop into unique individuals. I am incredibly blessed to have raised two daughters, and they have taught me so much about life, love, and the importance of family.
First and foremost, my daughters have taught me the true meaning of unconditional love. I knew I would do anything to protect them and ensure their happiness from the moment they were born. Watching them grow up has been an incredible journey filled with ups and downs, but my love for them has only grown stronger.
My daughters have also taught me the importance of patience and understanding. As they navigate life's challenges, I have learned to be patient with them as they make mistakes and learn from their experiences. I have also learned to understand their unique personalities and interests, even if they differ from mine.
One of the greatest joys of raising daughters is watching them develop into strong, independent women. My girls have shown me what it means to be resilient in the face of adversity and to never give up on your dreams. They inspire me every day with their determination and drive to succeed.
Finally, my daughters have taught me the actual value of family. Through life's ups and downs, we have always been there for each other as a source of love and support. They remind me that no matter what happens, the family will always be there to pick you up when you fall.
I am truly blessed to have raised two amazing daughters who continue to teach me valuable life lessons every day. They are my greatest joy in life, and I am grateful for every moment we share.

Spring Symbolism: What the Season Signifies
Spring Symbolism: What the Season Signifies
Spring is a season of new beginnings, fresh starts, and renewal. It is a time when the natural world comes back to life after the cold winter months. The symbolism associated with spring is rich and varied, with different cultures and traditions interpreting it uniquely.
Promise of Renewal
One of the most common symbols of spring is the promise of renewal. After months of cold weather and barren landscapes, spring brings new growth and life. Trees begin to bud, flowers bloom, and animals awaken from hibernation. This renewal symbolizes hope for a better future and a fresh start.
Birth and Rebirth
Spring is also associated with birth and rebirth. In many cultures, it is seen as a time for fertility and reproduction. The return of warmth and light encourages animals to mate and reproduce while farmers plant their crops in anticipation of a bountiful harvest.
New Love and Romance
Spring has long been associated with love and romance. The warmer weather encourages people to spend more time outdoors, enjoying each other's company. Flowers such as tulips, daffodils, and cherry blossoms are often given as gifts to express affection.
Starting Anew
Finally, spring represents an opportunity to start anew. It's a time to let go of old habits or negative patterns that no longer serve us well. Just as nature sheds its old skin in preparation for new growth, we can also shed our old selves to become something better.
Spring signifies hope for renewal, birth/rebirth, new love/romance, and starting anew. It's a season that reminds us that change is possible and that there's always room for growth.
