In this Sunday's free Zoom class, we'll take a look at the art and science of deep relaxation. Would it surprise you if I said, "Besides sleeping, few people ever relax." In fact, most people find relaxation difficult and uncomfortable.

Does trying to relax make you anxious, nervous, or even irritated? The average attention span in the U.S. is getting shorter and shorter. Many of our friends and neighbors find it difficult to even sit through a 90-movie. And meditation seems impossible to those who identify with the voices inside their heads.

The stress, tension, and anxiety that accumulates from an inability or unwillingness to relax shatters self-awareness and intelligence. Further, routine distress is emotionally painful and physical unhealthy, Why do you think illness is called "dis-ease?"
