WINNOWING (THE MOVIE) AND AN INTERVIEW WITH WILLIAM MALTESE
SEVERAL months ago, consummate author and screenwriter William Maltese offered author/actor Daniel S. Janik and author/actress Setsuko Tsuchiya a written-exclusively-for-them screenplay about auditioning for the “Big One.” To quote the Bard, “All the world’s a stage, And all the men and women merely Players…” What could be more central to contemporary life than the constant auditioning/interviewing/screening to which we are endlessly subject? WINNOWING — https://janik.yolasite.com/winnowing.php — is now a movie in the late stage of development (pre-production) in which the lead characters, Setsuko and I, read excerpts from seven of Mr. Maltese’s great books before two strict but supportive casting directors, again played by Setsuko and me.
Several days ago, I had the distinct pleasure of interviewing William regarding the production of WINNOWING and have posted the interview on my WINNOWING webpage cited above.
