First, I'm heading off tomorrow to the Chicago International Indie Film Festival -- https://chicagoiiff.org -- along with co-star Eriko Okada (who played "Susan") and Setsuko Tsuchiya (who played "Edna") in the K. Simmons Production of STATIC (2021) (aka "The STATIC Movie") -- https://ksmediagroupinc.com/the-stati.... Together with the the director, Kenny Simmons, Executive Producer Lisa Simmons and screenwriter Richard Rose and his wife Kay, we'll walk the red carpet to the Awards Ceremony on 5 November 2022 from 5 to 10 p.m. Haven't seen the movie yet? As a retired physician, has been my privilege and pleasure as lead actor, Daniel S. Janik (playing "Will Gardner") to be a part of this wonderful film, honoring victims and caretakers of Alzheimer's and other dementias.
But there's more: While preparing for our trip, I learned that STATIC has won "Best Feature Film" in the Moody Crab Film Fest -- https://www.moodycrabfilmfest.com/sea..., further sweetening our appearance at CIIFF. Be sure to take advantage of the free screening of STATIC mentioned above.
And, yes, while in Chicago, I'm hoping to chance upon a good jazz club. A lover of 1920's and 1930's style jazz, I look forward to not only attending the CIIFF Awards Ceremony, but sampling Chicago "and all that jazz."
