Waiting for the muse?

Are you waiting for your muse to inspire you to write a book? Let me share with you something Picasso once said:

“Inspiration exists, but it has to find you working.”

I hate to burst your bubble (sort of), but even if a muse existed, inspiration is not passive. It doesn’t serve itself up to you on a silver platter. It comes to those who are actively seeking it.
