Who Writes Your Story?

Have you ever read the story of Cyrano de Bergerac? It’s written by man, considered a classic, and ends in tragedy. Have you ever read the life of Job? It’s written by God, filled with challenge, and ends in joy.

The difference is not in the person, both faced great battles. The difference is in the writer. God will allow us to write our own stories but they will end like Cyrano. Or we can ask God to write them, and they’ll end like Job.

The Bible says Job’s life ended full of days. Full means basically saturated. He was completely full at the end of his life. Cyrano ends with love lost, but Job never lost God’s love, or his love for God, even in the middle of his battle.

The Bible calls Jesus, The Author and The Finisher of our faith. When we ask Him to write our story, He causes the hated and outcasts to become loved and made leaders of His people. Did you know the name Job means hated?

It doesn’t matter what people call you, or who is against you. Because God called Job my servant from the beginning. When God calls you His, it doesn’t matter what anyone else calls you. They don’t write your story, when you’re a child of God, He will fill your days!
