How do you know if your book idea is good enough?

Russel Simmons, an entrepreneur, and record executive, once said, "What holds most people back isn't the quality of their ideas, but their lack of faith in themselves."

I’ve found this to be very much true with authors, including myself. Sometimes we have a great idea for a book, but for whatever reason, we don’t believe we are good enough to bring that idea into the world.

Sometimes this lack of faith is conscious, sometimes it isn’t.

Wouldn’t it be cool if there was an instrument, device, or tool we could use to objectively determine if our book idea was truly a good one? (Hint: I’m developing one right now! Let me know if you want me to let you know when it’s ready.)
