Hello, readers, and welcome to June
June is underway, and here in the PNW we're eagerly anticipating summer with sunny days.
Family time has been wonderful, and my little break was welcomed. Hubby and I are spending time on spring cleaning; doing all those necessary chores that come with being a home owner.
Regarding my submission to Evernight for their upcoming male/female anthology, my dragon shifter story wasn't quite what they were looking for, but it will be a single publication.
I'm looking forward to announcing a release date as well as seeing what gorgeous cover the designer comes up with!
Evernight's anthologies are always filled with a fantastic variety of stories, in both the male/female and male/male editions, and with the line-up I've seen, both will prove to be just as amazing.
I've made small gains on my new project, and I'm excited to see where my characters take me. Sometimes I draft very loose plots, but there's no guarantee I'll stick to it. Most often I love when a story takes a turn and I'm thrilled with the direction. However, there have been times when I'm not thrilled at all and the story needs a major revision. Stay tuned to see how this one will turn out. ;)
As for my own reading, I had a chance to relax and catch up on my TBR pile as well as reviews. But just as soon as I finish a great read, I realize I've got plenty more waiting. Which isn't a bad thing. The tough part is deciding what to read next, and that's usually dependent on my mood. Romcoms give me much needed lightness and laughter, where as a romantic suspense engages my brain and immerses me in the plot.
Whatever you're doing in the coming months, hope you find time to relax and read.
As always, my best!
