The Wellcome Trust is doing a mental health documentary on mental health (including ADHD) and is looking for adults who would be willing to talk about their lives with ADHD.  It's a project that will get some attention, and so I'm asking a number of people whom I think have compelling stories to consider whether or not they might like to talk with the assistant producer and see if they might like to participate.  To be clear, I'm introducing you to the project here...the next step would be to talk with them however much you needed to before they and you would determine if you might be part of the documentary.  Considering it does not mean committing to it.

Here is some background from the group helping recruit for the film:

Over the next 12 months, we'll be inviting people from all over the world to tell us what mental health means to them. We hope that the finished film will be an enormous and diverse portrait of lived experience, and will be a resource of empathy, urgency and shared knowledge empowering people to know they are not alone.

The project has been commissioned by The Wellcome Trust, one of the world's largest charitable foundations, who support thousands of scientists and  researchers in more than 70 countries. This project is part of Mindscapes, their international cultural programme about mental health.

We, the team of filmmakers behind the project, have made some of the most pivotal and successful crowd sourced documentaries ever made, including Life In A Day, which was executive produced by Ridley Scott and premiered at Sundance Film Festival. The documentary was made in collaboration with YouTube and has received over 18million views to date.

I'm delighted that this project might create improved awareness about adult ADHD and about its impact in lives and relationships.  If you are interested, please let me know by sending me a note via the contact form before May 15.
