Greetings! I'm delighted to announce that my new novel, Mercury Pictures Presents, is coming out this summer. In the run-up to publication, I want to reconnect with readers in a way that feels more intimate than social media. To that end, I’ve devised a free, fun monthly newsletter dedicated to discussing books I love, books you recommend, and books my cats have fallen asleep on.

Our older cat, Rusty, is rather "sturdy" as the vet euphemistically put it, so he needs a very large, very dense book to get comfy on--let's say, Finnegans Wake. Our kitten, Smudge, thinks Rusty is just being pretentious and would prefer to snooze on an Agatha Christie mystery every time.
Thank you for your reply. I'm a bit tingly as I am a big (as well as somewhat "sturdy") fan and my book club has read both A Constellation of Vital Phenomena and The Tzar of Love and Techno. When I hosted the latter, I gave each of the girls a photo of all of our members, but in each photo the recipient's face was replaced with Stalin's. You can be certain the group of us will be reading Mercury Pictures Presents. Thank you for the hours of great reading and discussion.

It's a continuation of some of the themes that carried through Constellation and Tsar, but against the backdrop of a very different setting. I hope you like it!

I'm SO Excited for this! I recently told a friend of mine that I would read a grocery list if you wrote it cause it would be brilliant. A Constellation of Vital Phenomena and The Tsar of Love and Techno are two of my all-time faves!

This made my day! I teach AP Literature to high school seniors, and I have been encouraging them to read more living authors so that they have opportunities to engage with them through social media or newsletters like yours. I read Tsar twice this semester- it changed the way I see the world. Thank you for sharing such beautiful writing in both that and Constellation.

I read "A Constellation of Vital Phenomena" when it was first released and it moved me so greatly and was so beautifully written, I still recall passages today. I cannot wait to read your new work. Thanks for sharing your talent with all of us.

Nothing makes me happier than to discover a new writer. Small matter that the rest of the world got here first. I read a review and a preview months ago which prompted me to reserve a copy, long forgotten when it landed in my account.
Scarcely drew a breath since then except to murmur to myself that I must hurry up so I could return to reading.
A great gift in any season, but particularly now, at summer's end, when the mind itches a bit for engagement. This work will scratch that itch for just so long until an itch for another of Marra's books appears.
Hi, i just finished The Tsar of Love and Techno and really enjoyed it. I tried to find the accompanying mix that is supposed to be on Spotify, and only found podcast interviews. Am I missing something?
OMG, I just finished The Shell Collector. I'm a terrible reviewer; all I can say is that every story was better than the last, which just left me in a puddle of tears, love and gratitude that we have writers like Anthony who can make us feel so deeply. Thank you!
