THE PERFECT ILLUSION CONTINUES…
HAVING finished filming my and Setsuko Tsuchiya’s parts in the upcoming movie THE PERFECT ILLUSION, I couldn’t help but add to my author/actor’s website a recently completed special flying scene (in-which-I-am-not-but-truly-wish-I-were) — https://janik.yolasite.com/theperfect.... Have you ever dreamed as a child of flying through the air like Superman or Supergirl? This scene simply tugged at my inner child’s heart and begged to be shared.
From where does that seemingly primordial instinct to fly, nay, ENJOY flying come? I wonder if it’s a left over subconscious memory of floating in utero, or, if you’re a “past lives” believer, especially one whose past lives run through generations of animals and maybe even plants), it may be a left over deeply subconscious memory of actually flying. Who knows? Yet, I’d venture to say I’m not the only one reading this who shares an instinctive joy at the idea of flying through the air. A perfect illusion? Perhaps. Why not?
I have to say that acting in the Gala Party scene with Setsuko, and again later as Dr. Stevenson in the Hospital scene were profoundly fun and enjoyable. Goes to show you what a perfect illusion THE PERFECT ILLUSION is. Go figure.
