Book Review: The Traitor’s Game by Jennifer A. Nielsen

Published in 2018. Fantasy. Kestra Dallisor has been summoned by her father, ending her three-year exile on the Lava Fields. She knows why he wants her at his home in Woodcourt—he intends to have her married. She doesn’t have any choice in the matter and leaves reluctantly. On the way, her carriage is stopped by Corak rebels. She’s forced to comply with their demands to find the Olden Blade, hidden somewhere at Woodcourt. Once found, she’s to turn it over to them, so the Infidante can kill the King, Lord Enrick with it, the only way to remove him. If her father finds out what she’s doing, he will have her executed.

This is book one of a series. It seems to be a trend that publishers don't tell us how many books are in a series or what the next book in the series is. I'll have to go looking for the follow on book this time. I did enjoy reading it, but found the plot predictable.
