Ag-Gag

You may have heard about the recent "Ag-Gag" bills in Iowa and Utah.  If you're not sure what these bills are about, or what they mean to you, please check out this article by Dr. Neal Barnard. 


Essentially they exist to protect factory farms and slaughterhouses from exposure when they engage in illegal and unsanitary practices.

Inhumane conditions are not just an animal welfare issue.  There are serious consequences to the people who consume the products produced under these conditions.   Especially at risk for food borne illness are children, the elderly, pregnant women and those with compromised immune systems. 


Be an informed consumer.  If this issue is a concern to you learn what you can do to make your voice heard.
