Find Our Voices

As we all go through our daily lives, it is easy to feel like you live in this monotonous routine. At times, we catch ourselves spacing out or losing track within a day. I speak from personal experience but I also see it happening in those all around me. It is a blah place to be – almost like one has lost their passion completely. Strangely, it seems to take big moments for us to find our voices.

this has been the case lately with the war in Ukraine. I’ve read tons of articles lately, seen graphic pictures and videos and heard terrified clips from those experiencing the trauma of war. These articles and videos and photo carry a message and it’s almost as if the emotion of the moment being captured is pulling us in. It is heartbreaking to say the least but it also highlights the power we can each have.

This passion to write and speak from experience happened with Covid as well. It is as if these experiences force us to leave the monotony behind. They force us to wake up and find our voice, to stand up for something we believe in. While the subjects are not always beautiful, the passion filled voices pulling us toward cause are. They are because they show we are alive and that we are living for a reason that we support and believe in.

Happy writing this week and for those speaking out for freedom, don’t give up!
