What was I thinking?
My initial impetus for writing THE NOVEL WITH HALF A NAME was: What if the movie PITCH BLACK were written as a heroic fantasy by David Gemmell or George R.R. Martin? And so we have ___ ____ ____: The Moonlight War: Book 1
I don't know how well I've succeeded; it was certainly the most ambitious book that I've written to date- so much so that many of the characters and themes I wanted to explore just wouldn't fit into this one novel. Still, I'm quite happy with the finished product, and while the first book works as a stand-alone story it's meant to be the first in a series. Hopefully I'll get the chance to tackle those missed themes in later books.
That is if I can ever finish this @#%# query letter.
