Here’s a transcript of an actual conversation between me and my best friend. Since my bestie is the inspiration for the character of Cissy, I’ll call her Cissy below:

CISSY: Gives new argument about why she should send a particular email. Ends by asking, should I send the email?

ME: No.

CISSY: Gives another argument about why she should send the email. Ends by asking, should I send the email?

ME: Yes.

CISSY (excited): Really?

ME: No, I’m just blowing sunshine up your ass.

CISSY: Don’t blow sunshine up my ass! Tell me the truth.

ME: Do not send the email.

CISSY: Okay, we can talk about it again tomorrow.

We both laugh. The end.
