Just Keep Moving
Just move. Another step forward, another step forward. this past week was a doozy, but honestly these days, that seems par for the course. In some ways, I feel so grateful for all that I have. I feel guilty even complaining because there are so many others that go without. I have come to realize that my feelings of exhaustion or burnout are valid. Sure there are others out there experiencing worse, there always are. But that doesn’t invalidate our own feelings.
Prior to the pandemic, I got hooked on iFIT. It’s an application that I use with my treadmill to run all over the world. It really came in handy with the pandemic as travel is my absolute vice and that was the one of many things we couldn’t do easily during the pandemic. I love this application because I see and learn about different places while working out. I also get to hear about other peoples journeys as they strive to get fit or to recover from an illness or injury. Quite frankly, I find it motivating to know that others out there are just like me trying to move forward day after day. We all have our burdens and obstacles but taking it in baby steps, helps us cope with the bigger picture.
So what have I learned on my journey? That it’s OK to have setbacks and to just keep moving forward. And most importantly, lend a helping hand when you are able. Happy writing this week!
