The Hunger Games by
Suzanne CollinsMy rating:
5 of 5 starsWhen I first read of the concept of the Hunger Games in the book, I thought it would go on to the end of the third book, with two major cliffhangers at the end of the first two books, with Katniss fighting like a bull, much unlike her character. However, I was in for a pleasant surprise when I saw that the Hunger Games were done by the end of the first book, yes, with a major cliffhanger. Now I'm super curious to read the other books. The Hunger Games universe was well-planned and detailed, and the plot of the story was engrossing. The people of the Capitol were not all bad, and this was what I liked most about the book. My favorite characters are Cinna and Caesar, for all the support they give Katniss. All in all, this is a must-read. I can't believe I spent several years thinking that the Hungers Games weren't worth the read, and I'm glad I was proved wrong.
