My last release was THE SCANDALOUS WIDOW in 2018.Here are some common questions I’ve answered:1. 𝑾𝒉𝒆𝒏 𝒘𝒊𝒍𝒍 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒃𝒆 𝒓𝒆𝒍𝒆𝒂𝒔𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒎𝒐𝒓𝒆 𝒃𝒐𝒐𝒌𝒔? 𝑷𝒂𝒓𝒕𝒊𝒄𝒖𝒍𝒂𝒓𝒍𝒚, 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒏𝒆𝒙𝒕 𝑪𝒐𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒕 𝑯𝒆𝒊𝒓𝒆𝒔𝒔𝒆𝒔 𝒃𝒐𝒐𝒌?I’m genuinely not sure. I lost a lot of the joy that came with writing, and while I’m slowly making my way back to a headspace in which I can create with less anxiety, I don’t know when that will happen, and I don’t feel comfortable making promises I can’t keep. I’m chronically ill (fibromyalgia) so it takes longer for me than most people to write a book, and it’s harder to project end times.Currently, the project I’ve been developing is A SPY NEVER SURRENDERS, which would be the next Covert Heiresses book. You all have been very patient waiting for it, and I’m sorry it’s taken so long. While I now have a working outline, I’m not sure how long it will take me to write, or when I will get to write it.I want to thank every single one of you delightful readers who have expressed love and concern for me, and who have left reviews and sent me awesome notes about my books. I appreciate y’all so much. Many of you have told me you’ll happily wait until I publish another book, and that means the world to me.2. 𝑾𝒉𝒂𝒕’𝒔 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒃𝒆𝒔𝒕 𝒘𝒂𝒚 𝒕𝒐 𝒇𝒊𝒏𝒅 𝒐𝒖𝒕 𝒘𝒉𝒆𝒏 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒓𝒆𝒍𝒆𝒂𝒔𝒆 𝒂 𝒏𝒆𝒘 𝒃𝒐𝒐𝒌? 𝑶𝒓 𝒑𝒖𝒕 𝒂 𝒃𝒐𝒐𝒌 𝒐𝒏 𝒔𝒂𝒍𝒆?You can sign up for my newsletter. When I finally have book news, that’s the first place I’ll share it. Alternately, you can follow me on my social media channels (see the bottom of this website).3. 𝑾𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒂𝒓𝒆 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒅𝒐𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒏𝒐𝒘? 𝑨𝒓𝒆 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒉𝒂𝒑𝒑𝒚?Around 2019, I made the change from virtual assistant to freelance editor through my business Quillfire Author Services, and you guys, I could not possibly feel more blessed than I do to get to work with such amazing authors. Copyediting has given me the joy, balance, and freedom I was looking for in publishing. So yes, I’m doing awesome. My husband and I also made a big step toward accomplishing a huge goal for our family: we became licensed to foster kids in the state of North Carolina as of August 2021. We are hoping to adopt from foster care, and currently are awaiting placement. This has obviously taken up a lot of our time. 😉𝑨𝒏𝒅 𝒇𝒊𝒏𝒂𝒍𝒍𝒚, 𝑰 𝒄𝒂𝒏𝒏𝒐𝒕 𝒔𝒕𝒓𝒆𝒔𝒔 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒔 𝒆𝒏𝒐𝒖𝒈𝒉–thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you to my readers, to my fellow authors who have helped me in the past. When I was writing, I accomplished A LOT, and I feel really good about that journey. It’s why I’m saying farewell for now, but not for all time. I’m definitely not ready to permanently stop writing–just taking a break.Thank you!
