Joyful Time of Year
Another year drifting by and another holiday season. i never seem to get tired of them though. It’s amazing how the spirit of a time of year can help push you through anything. This year, the plate isn’t loaded with any less. Of course the kids are excited and it is always a joy to meet them in their excitement but it is not without effort.
Work as usual is never ending but then I’ll save the topic of corporate America for another day. Then comes taking care of the family, including the dog (not to mention the neighbor’s dog as well because why not pet sit the week of Christmas). Bottom line, life is hectic as ever but that’s all okay.
Why? Because I can’t express how fortunate I feel to have all we have. Is life always easy? No. But my family is fortunate to have our health and all else that we need. These past two years, so many have suffered—I can’t help but feel fortunate that our hardships have been minimal in comparison. And in my mind, that means we have responsibility to give back. In fact, my goal in gearing up for 2022 is to determine how to do this in an effortful and meaningful way.
For now, I wish you all a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays! Happy writing to you this week!
