So Small

So we finally did it. My husband and I took our first international trip since the start of Covid. We haven’t taken a trip just the two of us since 2006 so it was time, although admittedly we could have done without all the extra precautions needed with Covid. Still, I’m not sure when all that will go away. Needless to say, it was a wonderful trip.

We chose Iceland as it is a place with lots to do while socially distancing and being cautious and it really didn’t disappoint. I found Iceland clean and stunningly beautiful. It was calming in so many ways and I really think those Icelanders are onto something with all those relaxing pools and lagoons. They know how to relax and one gets the sense being there that we are really so small in the big world. Maybe it is the enormous waterfalls or glaciers or mountains—it just puts things in perspective. So to end, let me share a few pictures and may they inspire you with your writing this week.

Happy writing!
