WHAT DO ACTORS DO BETWEEN FILMS?

THE obvious answer is read scripts sent by one’s agent to ascertain what role will be next. My own less obvious answer is return to authoring. Having finished the second book THE EDGE OF MADNESS (Aignos 2020) by Raymond Gaynor (https://www.amazon.com/dp/0999693859), the sequel to TOTAL MELTDOWN (Borgo/Wildside 2009) by Raymond Gaynor and William Maltese (https://www.amazon.com/dp/1434403556), I’ve been turning my creative juices towards finishing “Prophecy,” the prospective third book in this series that ties together much of the action in the previous two works. “Prophecy” is indeed about prophecy. So far the “outlandish” prophecies in TOTAL MELTDOWN and THE EDGE OF MADNESS have proven largely fulfilled. “Prophecy” will take them on and take off into the increasingly complex technological world created by its two prequels. Hint: The question as to whether humans will ever be able to actually move from one universe to another without dying will be taken on and take off in “Prophecy.” All with total plausibility.

And as for what’s next for actor Daniel S. Janik, I’m currently contemplating an appearance in the K. Simmons Productions of both “The William Maltese Collection” and “Finding Kate.” Having known the incomparable William Maltese for a number of years, and having co-written TOTAL MELTDOWN with him, I’d be honored to say a few words in the upcoming bio-documentary, should the opportunity arise. As for “Finding Kate,” having co-written QUANTUM DEATH (Savant 2016) with the equally incomparable A. G. Hayes (https://www.amazon.com/dp/0996325530), I am at the moment considering playing either Kate Keenan’s nemesis, the very noir corporate manipulator Hank Tolomeo, or Kate Keenan’s devoted father, Ethan Keenan. Either would, I think, allow me to enjoy immersing into the special agent world of A. G. Hayes. Check this blog regularly to find out what finally happens.

As you may know, K. Simmons Productions has purchased the manga, animation and movie rights to THE EDGE OF MADNESS, leaving me to wonder if, when “Prophecy” is finished and published, whether the three books will stand alone on the silver screen, or perhaps be combined into one amazing screenplay and extended length movie. Personally, either one would be fine by me. In the meantime, it’s back to fingers on keyboard to finish “Prophecy” before my next movie appearance. Can’t wait to see me in the movies?
