IEA: Methane emissions from fossil fuels can be reduced by 75%

Global methane emissions from fossil fuels could be reduced by 75% between 2020 and 2030 if a coherent global strategy is achieved, says the International Energy Agency (IEA).

In a report released this Thursday, the IEA recalls that reducing methane emissions is key to fighting climate change, as this gas has a stronger greenhouse effect than CO2, although it lasts much less in the atmosphere.
