Japanese Foreign Minister Toshimitsu Motegi and US Secretary of State Antony Blinken reaffirmed their intention this Thursday to maintain and strengthen the bilateral alliance after the new Japanese prime minister took power.
Motegi and Blinken held a telephone conversation today where they agreed to continue joint efforts around a “free and open Indo-Pacific,” according to an official statement from the Japanese Foreign Ministry.
