Hello gorgeous people,
thought it might be past time that I give you an update on what is going on in my world.
First, and most importantly of all, I am one episode away from finishing season 3 of Virgin River. No spoilers please. Come on Mel & Jack, don't disappoint me.
Once that is done it will be time to dive into season 6 of Lucifer. Fingers crossed for a fab final season.
Now, for anyone not keeping up with my personal saga I shall do a quick re-cap. Horrendous car accident 2018. In hospital for 3 months. Had to learn to walk again. Lots of on-going ramifications to deal with on a daily basis.
Followed last year by the cherry on top of my life when I was diagnosed with breast cancer. Chemo. Two surgeries. Radiation. All good going forward, but still stuff to deal with as a result.
And let's not forget the madness of Covid. Here, in Melbourne, we are experiencing our 6th lockdown. Which accumulatively is over 240 days and counting so far of restrictions and curfews.
All of the above have created a perfect storm as I struggle to complete book 14 of the Southern Sanctuary Series. Currently I have written approximately three quarters of it, or there abouts. As often my characters have a mind of their own, and insist upon more page time... so who knows.
I'd love to give you a publication date. But as always life has gotten in the way, and I have rather a big surgery scheduled in October which is going to require a lot of rest and recovery time. So 2022, sometime...? Hopefully earlier rather than later.
What can I tell you about To Goad a Goddess? Well it features Elijah, the Head of the Southern Sanctuary Enforcers. And Copper, our maybe Goddess from the past, who Elijah kidnapped (To Surprise A Seer). The cats return. As does Darcy. And the hybrid villainous Jag-offs. New to this story - the Houses of the Dead from the Mayan Underworld. (House of Pus, anyone?)
I know this story has been a long time coming. Trust me, I'm very aware I've been writing it - off more so than on - for almost 2 years now. No doubt you are a little frustrated. I totally understand and can empathise. I can't wait to publish it and move on to writing book 2 of the Vexatious Valkyries series.
If you have any questions, comments, please feel free to pass them along.
Here's hoping all your reads are five star fantastic.
