WHAT’S IN A BOOK OR MOVIE…
SEVERAL days ago, I had the pleasure of being interviewed by multi-award-winning author and screenwriter, Mr. Richard Rose of THE LAZARUS CONSPIRACIES (Savant 2013), THE GUMSHOE (Savant 2017), COMIC CRUSADERS (Aignos 2019) and RETRIBUTION (Savant, in preparation) fame — https://richardroseauthor.com/blog/f/....
Actually Dick and I go quite aways back, having acted as his Savant/Aignos editor for THE GUMSHOE: Chicago, 1947. Private investigator “Matt” McBride runs afoul of corrupt politicians, vicious mobsters and a trigger-happy Texan femme fatale to prove that the “suicide” of his best friend was murder. Matt’s perilous journey to track down the killer nearly dead-ends in a motor home on collision course with a cargo plane. THE GUMSHOE is available in printed and digital format, and is currently in production as an Audible audiobook read by voice actor, Lou Rugani.
More recently, Dick wrote the original screenplay for the K. Simmons Production of The STATIC Movie, a family drama about a curmongenous veteran, struggling with Alzheimer’s disease, premiering 25 September 2021 at 7 PM Hawaii Time on Hawaii’s KHON2, KHII and CW in which I appear as “Will Gardner.” It will also “live” premiere on 25-26 September internationally on https://www.khon2.com.
