Vacay Mode 2021: Not Really The Holidays I Expected 😅
Hello awesome nerds and happy Saturday everyone!
I hope y’all had a fantastic week and you’re ready to embrace the weekend, exactly as it deserves to be embraced. With fun, cocktails, good company and good books.
This is more or less how my “vacation” this year was, even though it was short and to be honest, I think I needed a little bit more.

To begin with, my folks and I went for a couple of days at the beach house, as my godfather and his wife were also there, along with my cousins, my nephew and a few more aunts and uncles.
It was really nice to see everyone after almost two years, especially considering that my godfather wasn’t able to come to Greece last summer due to COVID. He and his wife live in Germany and they came here for vacation for almost three weeks, so I was really happy to see them both.
And of course this view which, to be honest, I had missed.

I had really missed the sea. Last year we spent a few days at the valley but we didn’t go to the beach AT ALL, and for a Scorpio like me, well… You can only imagine how hard this was.
But this year we had fun. I swan A LOT, ate EVEN MORE and had a few more cocktails than usual!
That’s the point of vacation though, isn’t it? To create memories and have stories to tell. And that is the reason why, aside from talking about books here, I also share bits and pieces of my everyday life, too. Because memories are too important. And if you don’t write them down, if you do not capture them in a way… you forget. I don’t really wanna forget…
Speaking of memories and books, I read the second book in the Manhattan series, written by my friend Tatiana Tzinioli. It is a Greek Romance novel and boy! I hadn’t seen this one coming. It hit me right in the feels so freaking hard that I’m not sure when I will read the third instalment.

I should’ve seen this one coming though. Because it’s always like this when it comes to Tatiana’s books. Or at least, that’s how it’s been for me the previous two times. So, this one couldn’t be any different.
“You cannot possibly imagine what you mean to me.”

It was like hearing certain conversations playing inside my head all over again. Not fun, but still, the book was quite enlightening in many different ways. And even though I don’t know what the future holds, I’m glad that I can see the red flags from miles away. Like last night, for instance. But that is a story for another day.
I also started buddy-reading One Last Stop, by Casey McQuiston, with my friend Eleana and I intend to make some really good progress this weekend. That is because, although I wanted to read some more last week, my family and I also went to the mountains for a couple of days and to a christening on the 15th.

This pic was taken after many sweets, some coffee and plenty of unsuccessful clicks, but I do feel as if this was indeed the coolest day of my holiday. That and the day when I watched The Kissing Booth 3.
HOLY! FREAKING! GUACAMOLE!
I think I’ve turned even more sentimental that I used to be. I even cried a bit when I saw this view again, after a year.

All in all, it was a really cool vacation. But like I said at the begin of this post, it was only for a few days and based on how hectic my life has been lately, I really needed a bit more.
But the summer is not over yet and I intend to make the best of it, any way I can.
How about you, dearies? Did you do anything fun this summer? Did you go on holidays? Did you read any good, summer-ish books?
Let me know everything in the comment section down below.
Thank you all so much for stopping by once again. It honestly means the world to me and I want you to know that I most certainly don’t take your presence here for granted.
Have a wonderful weekend, beautiful creatures. Stay safe & stay positive.
Till next time… Toodles!
