So, now that Eveillez is in the wrap-up stages, I'm debating what to write next. There will be a fourth Human Vampire book, but it will be a shorty. I'm thinking about 20K words at most.
Beyond that, I have a couple options. I have a fantasy series that is 2/3 of the way done. The first book is finished but needs revamping, and the second is almost complete. I've struggled with trying to perfect this series for many years, primarily just the first half of the first book. But I think I might have figured out what needs to be trashed/combined/etc. It would still take me a couple months to edit.
The other option is to start a new book entirely. This one would involve actual, supernatural vampires and would be a sort of "alternate history" possibly set in a dystopian-lite world (I'm not a doom and gloom writer so I'm not 100% sure how dystopian I want to get).
I've started both: editing the fantasy and writing a few paragraphs on the vampire one. Just trying to figure out where to put my energy. Any thoughts?
