ARTIST'S DESCRIPTIONThis #MRasheedCartoons image was inspired by a comment that I hadn’t seen since I started my Weapon of the people: DECODED project. Early on I made the decision not to use the [n-word] and substitute ‘blackie’ for it instead, because I know that the bad guys like to pretend that racism has nothing to do with the economic oppression of the Black American former slave class which is clearly spelled out in US history. They want everyone to think racism is just about calling people racial slurs and hurting deir wittle fweelings (aww), so it can be easily dismissed, and more importantly, so that the dominant political identity can sneak out of paying out my Reparations.
