A pronoun and a conjunction come together to make a supposition
Aspirations, fantasies, regrets or is my position just a superstition?
My fickle mind’s insecurities can be told in the story of what-ifs
To preserve them all for future I should create scores of hieroglyphs
While I was chasing her I was full of hope, nervousness and aspiration
What if I call her now, what if I gift her that, all the ways to get her attention

Nervousness turned to exhilaration and aspiration became fantasy
What if I call her now, what if I gift her that, the same suppositions were my fallacies
The day came when we separated, and the mind was overtaken by regret
What if I had called her then, what if I had gifted her that, I got myself in a fret
The science of what-ifs is an art and the art of what-ifs is a science
Aspirations, fantasies, regrets are not different for the subconscious
Manifestations of our tiny pool of knowledge are all the what-ifs
The possibilities of unaware minds are all the what-ifs
Neither situations nor emotions decide any of the what-ifs
Life changes, challenges differ, stay the same all the what-ifs
The universe of ignorance is unavailable to all the what-ifs
The infinite other possibilities stay inaccessible to all the what-ifs.
