Begin.

Summer of 2016. Bored as hell. A Sunday.

I was trapped within the glass and particle-board box known as "The Piercing Pagoda" doing anything to entertain myself.

During the prior shift, I'd simultaneously been scolded for having my phone out while being gifted a blank notebook. Nothing on my hands but paper, pens, and time.

Pressing my red Bic Crystal Round Stic to the green-lined paper, I aged myself down ten years, and wrote what I knew;

"I hate gym class."

I thought I was killing time.

Instead? I saved myself.

I don't post about it often, but I'll have three years alcohol-free this December. Without this story? I wouldn't have anything.

I literally wouldn't be here.

Love Always,
Haley BCU
