Thanks Tatiana - I will see him on Thursday and will be sure that he knows that my fans are sticking with me!

Oh, but you had the unfair advantage of walking through the desert, living in a refugee camp, and all that other cool stuff! (That's not a sentence I ever thought I'd say, wow.) For some reason, I love that you and your brother were such troublemakers when you were kids, then grew into such strong, positive role-models. There are images and ideas from your book that I think of all the time still, like the idea of a young person growing up and "growing a heart". I love the things your dad taught you like giving more than you have to, working hard, sharing what you have and helping those around you. He was truly a great person! I say that with tears in my eyes as I feel like he's been a big influence on me, through your book. Anyway, I didn't mean to get all gushy, but your book has stuck with me for years now.

I'm really glad you told him to write it.
