RESCUE, Quote 3

Hi friends, I need your advice. If I did any sort of launch party for this book, in what format should I do it?

YouTube? A Zoom meetup? Facebook live? A day-long celebration over this blog and all social media? Any other ideas?

RESCUE comes out on March 2nd, so I probably need to decide on this pretty quick!

Seriously, I’m sorta at a loss on this one. Give me your thoughts in the comments below and I’ll randomly choose someone to win an ARC of RESCUE.

This contest will last one week. International entries are okay.

Mia Ooh, I think Youtube would be best as it's more accessible? That way it's easier for people without laptops or Facebook etc :)

message 2: by Aaliyah (new)

Aaliyah Herndon I suggest either zoom or youtube due to ease of access and many people know how to work those platforms! Whatever you choose im already excited for it! :)

message 3: by A (new)

A Daniels i would think zoom or youtube, since most people know how to operate on those platforms, and people of all ages can come. I can't wait for whatever form you choose! I'm so excited to read this book, WWII is my favorite genre!

message 4: by Eleanor (new)

Eleanor Arkhipova I would do FB and Youtube.

message 5: by Alexis (new)

Alexis I think Zoom or YouTube would be best because more people have access to them and know how to use them. Though, whatever platform you choose, I will try to be there! I can't wait to read this book, I loved Resistance.

message 6: by Mary (new)

Mary Since most kids are already using Zoom for online school, I think Zoom is the best option so that the most people possible can have the opportunity to participate!

message 7: by Christy (new)

Christy Sheffield YouTube - it's the easiest platform to access. You don't have to download Zoom or manage participants, and not everyone has Facebook. YouTube will still allow participants to ask questions.

message 8: by Kassia (new)

Kassia I think YouTube would be best

message 9: by Jenna (new)

Jenna RM I also think YouTube.

message 10: by Sierra (new)

Sierra Pfiester I would definitely say YouTube! Most people can get to YouTube easier than anything else.

message 11: by Olivia (new)

Olivia B I agree, YouTube would be the most accessible.

message 12: by Jennifer (new)

Jennifer McAfee I would say facebook live and youtube. Instagram for marketing is great!

Also, you could do a book trailer to share with school librarians. I'm a school librarian and find that some books have ZERO book trailers! That's the main way I advertise to my students (grades 5-12). They are more willing to watch a video than to read a blurb, as ironic as it sounds...

message 13: by Brooke (new)

Brooke W I'd say Zoom or YouTube! YouTube is definitely the easiest to access!

message 14: by Cece (new)

Cece G Youtube (is the best)- More people have this platfrom and you can access it from anywhere via cellphone, computer, and tv.

Instagram Live- for marketing, so it can be broadcasted/share to anyone if you use the right hashtags and etc.

Zoom- Is kind of an inconvenience simply because sending out the password to get people in and etc. is difficult. (As a student who uses it for classes, there's a lot of complication with setting things up.)

message 15: by Athena (new)

Athena Youtube is probably best, but Zoom could also be an alternative option if anything goes wrong with Youtube. I feel as though websites like Facebook, Instagram, etc. are popular, but not accessible for most people. I do agree with Cece, though. Zoom can be very difficult considering internet issues, passwords/IDs, Zoom Bombers, and other problems.
