This week is Gonna Be Cray. 400k dead in the US, 2M in the world.

Well, given that the right has not come close to even trying for unity, and instead are all in on "it was stolen and we asked some questions about it" [1] mode, this shouldn't be a surprise. Man found with guns trying to enter the inauguration. I'm shocked, I tell you, just shocked. Meanwhile the likes of Tucker are screaming about how bad Reconstruction was. Yeah, the GOP is full on Neo confederates now. [2]
no surprise, I suppose. Before they only hid it.
But with covid still raging throughout the country, the fact that the vaccine rollout (in red and blue states, though, as usual the trend line was red states did pretty bad) was so messed up, is a crazy thing we don't hear enough about. Some states have such strict criteria that they're throwing out vaccines. Does that make  sense in any world?
Well, I'm still wondering about how this will all shake out. It won't be nothing.
Oh, and OT, much of the trump crap could have been stopped before he was elected if we actually went after white collar criminals (like Trump, and which we're finally doing). Then many of these people would be out of the system before they ever get too high. [3]

[1] Like I've said before, there has always been a hint of "projection" with the right, so I'm guessing, outside of the attempt to steal it via the courts or voter suppression, there were probably other ways as well. Remember it was the GOP that didn't want to pass election laws that would have made them safer in general.
[2] One way in which the war as come home. Also, they're calling safer parts of DC the green Zone (like in Baghdad, this was a heavily fortified area that only rockets could hit).
[3] Let's hope there's a change with Trump as the wake up call. Also, let's hope that the IRS focuses on the richest people (instead of going after the poorest and the middle class like they're doing) as well as a way to change how we do taxes (so we don't spend money on the likes of Turbo tax etc).
