Margaret Moxom Got a lovely 5 star review for the book, "It was amazing.
The author has very cleverly brought together local history of the period, using the local dialect of the Potteries, and also weaving a story through it. The story draws the reader into the times of the Chartists riots and while reading this book I got a real sense of the hard lives of the characters and of how frightening it must have been at this time for people having to fight for a living wage. I felt that I knew these people as their story unfolded. The author must have done an awesome amount of research on not only the history but the dialect too."
