Another Dig Two Graves excerpt

Ed jumped out of his Jeep and grabbed the lock on the gate.  He quickly unlocked it and swung it open.  There was a car coming down the street toward him, but he would be in and going before the car got there. 

As the Jeep started moving forward, the gate started swinging closed again, by itself.  Ed used the Jeep’s bumper to push it back open.  As he cleared the gate, red and blue lights flashed on top of the approaching car, and the loudspeaker blared, “Stay right there until I identify you...
