False Accusations of Rape: Lynching in the 21st Century

How Many Rape Accusations are False?

“Feminism has produced a popular definition of rape that can be expressed as: “Rape occurs anytime a woman has a physical, auditory or visual contact with a man, and, the woman is unhappy, before, during or after the contact.” - John Davis

Figure 1 The lust for the power to accuse, falsely or otherwise, is what is behind the epidemic of rape hysteria and false accusations of rape in Western cultures.

Of all the statistics in our contemporary culture, none remain more elusive than statistics about rape.

There are a number of reasons that the statistics on false accusations are elusive. The crime of “rape” is a hyper-emotional concept in our culture. Men, as well as women, revile at the idea of “rape.”

The mass media is obsessed with “rape” and sexual crimes, and, disseminates extraordinary amounts of myths, propaganda, false information and stereotypes about “rape.” Rape is so emotional, that a mere accusation of rape is sufficient to invoke hostility and violence. These factors combine to distort most people’s views about rape.

We need to evaluate accusations of rape and sexual assault based upon law and science, rather than mass media driven hysteria.

First, we have to define a “false accusation of rape.”

Feminism has produced a popular definition of rape that can be expressed as: “Rape occurs anytime a woman has a physical, auditory or visual contact with a man, and, the woman is unhappy, before, during or after the contact.

Under the feminist definition of rape, which is completely subjective and arbitrary, there can be no such thing as a “false accusation of rape.”

Figure 2 False accusations of rape are a “gender specific crime.” Women not only rape men at about the same rate as men rape women, but, women also commit all of the false accusations of rape against men, while, female rapists go unreported and unpunished in most instances.

After thousands of years, and, for thousands of years, our civilization has, however, developed a much better definition of rape.

Civilization’s legal definition of rape is that if a person has intercourse or sodomy with another person, and, knows that the other person does not consent to the intercourse, then, the intercourse is rape.

Under civilization’s definition of “rape,” very few contacts between people are “rape.”
The late 1980’s and early 1990’s saw some serious studies conducted by the U.S. Air Force, Purdue University, and other institutions, into measuring the rate of false accusations of rape.

These studies employed an unimpeachable method of recording a rape accusation as false, only if the accuser admitted that it was false.

These serious scientific studies concluded that between 40% and 60% of accusations of rape were false (based upon the admissions of the accusers).

These conclusions, based upon the admissions of the accusers, that 40–60% of rape accusations were false, has been relentlessly protested by the feminist media and narratives. Nevertheless, they remain as the only credible scientific studies done on the phenomenon of false accusations of rape. Shortly after these studies were published, rape accuser advocates had “rape shield laws” passed in all states that prohibited further scientific research and study of the phenomenon.

More recent studies indicate that the number of false accusations of rape has drastically increased since the 1990's.

We quote from a recent paper of a rape accuser advocate that, contrary to popular belief, the police determine that about 86% of rape claims are unfounded.

“This is the very first step in the criminal justice system. On average, 86 percent of the reported sexual assaults never went any further than the police. The vast majority of these cases were never referred by the police on to the prosecutors.” Rebecca Campbell , Ph.D. Professor of Psychology, Michigan State University, National Institute of Justice Transcript, December 3, 2012

Commentators such as Campbell, who advocate for rape accusers, are of the opinion that the high rate of unfounded rape accusations, as determined by the police, is a result of a lack of “training” of the police.
Such commentators, however, overlook the fact that the police are far more expert in resolving and detecting crime, and, far more objective than any rape accuser advocates.

Men are not only the victims of women who rape them, but, men are also the victims of women who falsely accuse them.

It seems obvious that we need to put a stop to the rape hysteria promoted by rape accuser advocates, and, the mass media. The best way to do so is by confronting actual facts, instead of rape hysteria theories now promoted by the media and junk science.

Virtue What kind of system can possibly accept this outracious definition of rape? Why have Western societies descended into a war of sexes and men-hating public spirit?

Some clues about the origin of men-hating can be found in history.
Men-hating possibly started with devaluation and disrespect of men due to an inflated valuation of women. For instance, some territories of the United States in the 1800s had a very low female-to-male ratio. This poor demography led to a high demand for women on the side of lonely men. The lack of women was mitigated through a facilitated immigration and relocation of women to the affected territories. Oftentimes, the women who came to fill the gap were old European prostitutes who sought new lives and opportunities in the New World, because their status was compromised "beyond repair" in their home countries.

While undesirable in their home countries, they became highly desirable in the New World where men thursty for love and family life quickly put the women on a pedestal and were even willing to fight each other to win the attraction of these women. The assumed special position and over-valuation made these women feel entitled and valued above men, which eventually caused them to disrespect men in general and coin this prevailing trend for decades to come.

Second possible cause underlying modern men-hating lies in the epidemic of divorces in Western societies and custodial fights. Since bullshit and impression decide on the outcome of legal battles rather than material evidence, women fighting their ex-husbands for custody of children evolved strategy that resulted in the "malicious father syndrome". Maligning fathers by mothers made vulnerable children unjustly reject their fathers and later generally disrespect men and eventually hate them as a group.

Something must be wrong with societies in which women apparently cannot be valued and appreciated more without devaluing and oppressing men. It can only happen in antagonistic societies, in which everything is perceived as a zero-sum game, and the gain for one group can only be achieved through the loss of another group. This is because these societies only developed primitive competitive strategies, and not collborative ways mutually beneficial for all the groups.

Unlike primitive competitiveness and antagonism, coexistence based on a collaboration, mutialism, solidarity and complementation requires more advanced societal development. This level of development was achieved in some East European countries, where the war of sexes would be unimaginable and deplorable in the same way as a war against children or a war against old people. This is because they eliminated exploitation, which is the major driving force behind antagonism and many internal conflicts in Western societies. Not surprisingly, there was far lower divorce rate, far less destroyed marriages, far less custodial fights and far less children manipulated by mothers to hate their fathers. Women could assume top positions in these societies based on their meritorious achievements, unlike in these days in the Western societies, where exaggerated policies for "advancement of women" effectively established discrimination of men, including in job hiring in many segments of society - most prominently in Academia. Societies who prefer certain gender and ignore merit are doomed and cursed to experience war of sexes with deleterious effects on all of us. All of us will miss a talented guy, who was not hired for a research position, because the search committee was obsessed with hiring women rather than men. The guy could have developed something beneficial - a better agricultural production, a better fuel for our transportation, or a better drug for Alzheimer disease that will be a future destiny for many of us. This is the price of your politically-motivated decisions when you ignore merit and go with trendy gender preferences.

It is well known that women can be appreciated, treated with respect, love and even adoration without need to wage and win the war of sexes over men. The history and the arts are clearly showing that women have had a huge value for men as lovers, mothers, sisters, grandmothers, leaders, teachers, friends...As a source of impression, beauty, care, support and a drive for men to make the world better for men and women together. For this value of women, men not only waged wars, mined gold, hunted pearls, climbed the Himalayas-the roof of our world, but also sought and found the cause of childbed fever, invented treatments for breast cancer and created immortal poems, statues and other arts. Only people grown up in ignorance can lack this understanding and engage in the multifaceted war of sexes that includes anything from outrageous false rape accusations to gender-based discrimination at workplaces. The secret of freedom lies in educating people whereas the secret of tyranny is in keeping them in ignorance (M. Robespierre).
