Symbols Need Potential!

You take something concrete, like a book.  But that is only a symbol of a story.  The words inside are made of letters that are symbols that represent sounds that we have identified as belonging to words and those words are symbols of things.
Take the word 'orange.'  A symbol for the fruit.  Finally, something concrete, we can hold in our hand.  But what is an orange?   It is a group of atoms that have decided to coalesce in the same place and hold the energy of an orange.
And what are atoms made of? Aside from all the science explanations, atoms are pure potential.  They are potential that can become oranges, books, buildings, trees, etc.
The interesting thing about atoms is that they have an activating process.  This vasty nothingness that we call empty space is not empty at all, it is filled with the potential of enormous energy, boundless creativity and endless knowledge.  This potential has a very specific activation method, however.  It needs feedback, a call and response, a request, whatever you want to call it.  It needs to be activated by some kind of invitation, otherwise we would be overrun with all sorts of...well, don't get me started.
We call this potential to us all the time, every single day!  We are very powerful callers and creators!  We like to think that we aren't, but just listen to what you talk about the most.  You invite potential into your life by your words, actions, thoughts.  That's the very most liberating thing I can think of!  Potential is such heady stuff, and it's all around us, ripe for the picking!
