What You Fear Already Is

Have you noticed this?  I discovered it one day while babysitting a young girl who was afraid of the dark.  She had to have a nightlight on, or she would be terrified.  Her coping mechanism if she didn't have a light on would be to bury her face in her pillow. That did not make sense to me.  I mean, how much light is she getting through her pillow?  I've found the same coping mechanism in many different scenarios.  I can't say that it happens in every instance where we have fear, but in a lot of cases, what we run from is what we are running towards.  It just seems to happen that way.Sometimes it's a good thing to look at in life.  How many times do we 'hide our face in the pillow' over some fear that has us blocked?  Take a look at it yourself and see if this is something that is running in your life.  Then it's easier to make a change!
