An Interview with Trent Diesel
Initially, I became aware of Trent Diesel last year when I subscribed to Kink.com. His natural submission and grace caught my attention almost immediately, and we began to talk on Twitter. It was a dream come true for me when he volunteered to model for the cover of Mastering the Ride. He's a fascinating guy, sweet and friendly with a great head on his shoulders, who I thoroughly enjoyed talking to for this phone interview.
So, I got an interesting voicemail a few weeks ago from you guys. Tell me about piercing Dylan Roberts with a needle, some vodka, and an apple…
It was me, Bryce Star and Mark Dylan, and Dylan Roberts. Dylan bought earrings, but doesn't have pierced ears. He decided he could just push them through. (laughing) They got drunk and decided to pierce his ears before going out. Bryce sanitized his ear with vodka. There was blood everywhere because it took a couple of tries. It looked like it really hurt. It was just drunken silliness.
The tats on your torso are distinctive and easily recognizable – what make you decide on that type of mirrored design?
It was just the location – I wanted something on the ribcage – both sides to be the same. I really wanted a rib tattoo. I got it on a whim. I want a tattoo and I want it today. All of the other ones are planned, but this one just sort of happened.
You had a bit of an upheaval in your personal life this past year. How are things going for you now?
Things are going a lot better for me. I'm refocused and happy.
Are you still working in construction as your primary job?
Yes. I'm not doing floors exclusively, I'm doing more work as a general contractor, partnered up with someone in my own business.
What led you to try your…er…hand at adult entertainment? Was it different than you expected? Were you nervous for your first scene?
It looked like fun – that's really why I do it. There's money involved, but I got tired of the scene here. I'd be able to fuck hot guys, meet cool people and travel.
I guess I always thought of porn being shot in hotel rooms being seedy and stuff, but I wasn't expecting the grandeur of it all. It's more complicated than I thought it was.
For my first scene, I was very very nervous. It was a solo shot my Bruno Bond. I had no idea who that was until I got there. Let's just say, he put me at ease.
What scene did you film most recently, and what do you have coming up in the near future?
Most recently I did a couple of shoot GayRoom.com. In the near future, I'm leaving Monday to shoot for Men.com and possibly Pride Studios and High Performance Men.
Being bisexual, we face our own unique challenges. How has your sexuality affected your work in the adult industry?

It seems to me for some reason that I've got to be one of very few men who haven't been bashed for being bisexual. Some guys act more straight, and it shows. But, since I really am bisexual – I like men and I like women, it really shows and I've been accepted. It's been a positive for me as far as my porn career, people are willing to shoot me both ways.
Does your family know about being in the industry? If so, are they supportive?
Most of my siblings know, and they're supportive. My parents, nor the rest of my family know.
How often do you film?
It kind of goes in spurts. Sometimes I'll shoot a couple times a week, but I've been averaging a couple of times a month.

How did it feel to see yourself on the cover of a novel?
That was awesome. That's like the only legitimate thing I've done – porn is porn, but the book is more like an actual modeling thing, so I was ecstatic.
What is your ideal kind of partner? What do you look for in a relationship? What do you look for first in a hookup?
My ideal partner is someone that I can talk to. Physical attraction aside, if you can just have a conversation with someone and be comfortable and tell them anything – that's my ideal partner. What I look for in a relationship is pretty much the same thing. Hooking up with someone if you like something about them you hook up with them again, if I can't talk to them then I just stop hanging out with them.
Do you have a favorite scene?
I really liked shooting in iContact with Adam Killian. Not because of how it turned out per se, but filming it was the most fun I've ever had on a shoot.
Who was your first crush?
My first crush in the industry was Alexy Tyler – I did a scene with him for Manhunt and I was just speechless. And then, after that I was talking to him and he's such a nice guy.
What do you consider your best asset?
My best asset is that I can pretty much get along with anyone, for the most part. Everyone is my friend, and if they're not my friend they're not my enemy.

What do you think about women watching gay porn?
I just sort of assumed that it happened anyway. I think it's awesome. I don't see why more women don't watch gay porn. Guys watch girl/girl – it would make sense that women would like to watch guy/guy.
What's your favorite city to travel to? Where have you not traveled that you would like to visit?
I really like Florida, but it's a toss up between Ft. Lauderdale and San Francisco. Where I would like to travel to? I would really like to go to Colorado, like in the mountains – I've never been. It's pretty breathtaking.
What do you like to do in the little spare time you have?
Right now, I've just been working on my house in my spare time.
Describe your perfect evening.
A quiet night at home, playing with the dogs and making dinner. Doing little odds and ends around the house and going to bed.
Do you have a favorite sexual fantasy?
You know, I've had… My ultimate fantasy – I'm in a jail shower and I'm getting fucked by like 4 guys, and that still has not happened for me. So yeah, that's my fantasy.

Is there anything (sexually) that you wouldn't try on screen or in your personal life?
I will not get fisted on film. Whether or not I could do it in my personal life, I don't know. I might try, but not on film. Other than that, the whole scat thing is gross, so I'd write that one off. I also wouldn't try anything illegal, I guess. In reality, there isn't anything that I wouldn't at least try.
Your porn persona is sometimes dominant (especially with younger or smaller partners), and sometimes submissive, does that translate into your personal life as well? Do you have a preferred role in the bedroom?
I mostly submissive. When I'm dominant on film – when I feel dominant with someone, it's switches with my partner if I feel more dominant with them. But really, I'm mostly submissive.
Would you rather rim or be rimmed?
I would rather be rimmed.
What kind of music do you like to listen to? What are the top 5 songs in your favorite playlist?
I like rock and I like classic rock. I think Put Your Lights on by Santana would be on there, and I like Theory of a Dead Man would definitely be on there. Chevelle, definitely Chevelle.
