President Jacob Zuma’s Boeing Business Jet, Inkwazi, flew solo to Qatar  – unaccompanied by shadow aircraft or standby planes. This is in contrast when he flew earlier in the month to to the United Nations. The president’s travel plans for his trip to the UN Security Council meeting in New York two weeks ago, when the air force chartered two standby planes in case anything happened to his plane, riled opposition parties and raised questions about the costs of such contingency arrangements.
