Ideas For Things To Do At Home While Isolating Day One Hundred And One
Ideas for things to do at home while isolating day one hundred and one: try to figure out what UPS is doing.
I know things are hard on shippers right now. I know this, and I’m giving them slack on any kind of delays and trying not to make any kind of complaints where I’m not worried that my package will be delivered at all. For example, I had to contact them recently because the driver came out and said my address was wrong and needed updating when it wasn’t and other drivers had successfully delivered to it before. I had to actually say something at that point to make sure I’d ever get packages again, since my address is my address and I have nothing else to give them.
As another example, I’m having to reach out now just to figure out what is going on. I had a package ship form Maryland 6/15. It arrived at the local facility here in Colorado 6/17. It went out for delivery Thursday 6/18. I watched the truck with my package on it arrive outside my house using their Follow My Delivery feature. The driver delivered 3 to my adjacent neighbors. I saw him and he saw me through my windows. He hadn’t brought my package from the truck. Then he left and took it back to the facility. After that, it just showed “in transit” as the status until Monday 6/22 and they didn’t try delivery again Friday or Saturday. Monday 6/22 they rescheduled delivery for Wednesday 6/24. Tuesday 6/23 it was updated to show as in transit from Oklahoma City.
I have no idea what they are doing, and their representatives just keep saying that it’s just waiting for delivery and that’s taking extra time due to high package amounts. I think it’s clearly a bigger issue than just delay. Why else would it go from the delivery city to Oklahoma while waiting for a truck to make the final delivery step?
(Yeah, I know I’m writing this 6/23 to run after it should already be delivered. Hopefully this doesn’t get any weirder and need more updates before it runs.)
