Murder Just Because, A Detective Quaid mystery: The Return of the Snowman is the fifth book in the series. I haven’t read the first four books but kept hearing how good this one was so I had to try it. I purchased the eBook and discovered that everyone was right. And then I won a paperback copy of the book. Lucky me, because I’ll probably read it again. I do that with books I really enjoy to make sure I haven’t missed anything important.

This is a story that will stay with you, at least it has me, for a long time. Warning: be prepared. Some of the scenes are quite graphic, with sex or murder or both. The scenes are handled just right for the story, showing the life of a serial killer. I kept whispering, “No, no, don’t do it.” And closed my eyes.

Yolanda Renee has done a great job with Murder Just Because. Even the title warns the reader. If you have a weak stomach, take care. I recommend the book for readers who have a tough stomach. Happy Reading.
