Light

Sunlight magnifies,
and expands
the space on which Humanity stands.
draw the curtains,
open the blinds,
see the beauty
in what you find.

Everything flows -
metamorphosis;
with each new sunrise
the earth to kiss.
And from dark corners,
from shadows, that creep,
rainbows dazzle
the world from sleep.

Yet do not wake,
I hear you cry,
drying sleep
from hooded eyes.
Nightmare illusions
creep into day;
you want the world
to go away.

How can this be,
our children, confined,
the world, its axis,
realigned.
Nothing is as was before,
as phantoms
knock
on Eternity’s door.

Yet, here is the dawn,
and here, the rose,
inhale the fragrance
as it blows.
The winds of change
are coming soon,
and all the world
will be - abloom.
