Twirl and Dip is a WIP story (very early stages) Eastyn's POV
Drake believed he'd only do one tour with the band and that would fulfill his itch to be a rock star. He'd come back home and work with his dad. He loved working with his hands. He built a she-shed for her mom that summer before he left with wood carvings and painted walls depicting the sea. His hands were talented with the hammer, a guitar, and among other things. He claimed he wanted the slow pace of a small town where they could raise a family.
However, no one anticipated Drake's band Never Mind the Damage would be such a hit. The band's song "What's Stoppin' You?" hit #1 on the American charts that first year. In five years, they released three studio albums, accumulating sales of more than 100 million records worldwide, including 45 million here in the states.

Overnight they became the best-selling artists of all time.
How could she ever compete with such success? She was just a small-town woman who sold ice cream. There were no-frills and fancy clothes. Her closet consisted of jeans and T-shirts, and her fifties-style diner outfits she wore to work. Instead of smelling like expensive perfume, her signature scent would be labeled sweet vanilla spice. Perfect if she were going to impress a baker but for the glamorous world of the rich and famous, they'd wonder why she wasn't in the kitchen preparing their meal.
Drake and she were from two different worlds now, but it didn't change the fact she needed a repairman for the shop, and Drake's dad was the best. She stared at the card and took out her cell phone and put in the call to Jack as she headed inside the Twirl and Dip.

Eastyn has her soda shop to run and specialty ice creams to create. Only the place is falling apart, and she may have a haunted jukebox that chooses songs to communicate. If things couldn't get any more complicated, Drake, her ex-fiancé, returns home after five years on the road with his rock band, Never Mind the Damage.
Eastyn vows not to fall for Drake's charms again, but when you have a lifetime of memories with the man, the heart seems not to care about pledges. Her haunted jukebox believes choosing the right song to twirl and dip to is the answer to everything. However, Eastyn isn't convinced. She wants to know if Drake is home for good, or will he break her heart all over again?
